The Future

I'll be the first to admit I'm wrong if, in 2016 none of this comes to pass. However, I do believe there is a crisis coming to America which will reshape the country. I believe it will be on par with WWII, The Civil War, and the American Revolution. This is just a guess. I'm no prophet.
  • The 2016 election will be the most pivotal election in history. My prediction is that a republican will win, similar in ideology to Ron Paul. Someone not controlled by corporate America, someone that isn't the lesser of two evils. A real leader with a different policy than others. Most people will be so desperate for change that they vote him in.
  • And this leader will divide the country in two even more than Obama. Libertarian policy is never popular when it's enacted. Turning back the state will cause immediate problems in the economy. It's a long term plan but it will be unpopular and the instant gratification of the population must be soothed.
  • The country will quickly divide into two camps. Those for the constitution and those for socialism. The military, police, will split. Academia and the media will mostly side with against the president. The 2016 candidate may face impeachment.
  • 2018-2020 civil war erupts within the United States divided by these two camps. The fighting is all out war. It may be state to state or some other arrangement. Civil war is the likely candidate for the coming crisis. The theatre is not really set for inter-country conflict, not even with China. China is too dependent on the US for trade.
  • The rest of the world will stay out of the fight. Canada may assist but each country will have their own recession and struggles to deal with. There may be infighting in Europe as well as neo-fascist and neo-islamists clash. But the world will recoil at the level of violence in America and will want to keep its distance.
  • 2023-2025 the war end.
  • During the war people will be driven out of the cities. Small villages with high technology become normal. Local sporting events will be more important than the NFL. Technology like the internet and 3D printing and solar energy will allow for homes and villages to move away from cities. Small, local communities will be the most important thing to people.
  • A new baby boom occurs. These children will be ones to design the technology which propels humanity into the technological singularity. Food becomes abundant. Homelessness and starvation is dissolved. Human suffering is ended.
  • We explore space. We are a successful species.

  1. I am in complete agreement with you - did a video titled "2018: World War 3" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTno0aZCfvg

I too expect a Ron Paul successor to either take over the White House, or that Obama will try and seize a third term, thus leading to the same division, and red-state allegiance to the Libertarian.

Of course, part of me worries that the Left will win, and that we'll see 80 years of police state...

Interesting times, my friend, interesting times.

    1. Great stuff. I enjoy all your videos.

An Obama third term is an even worse scenario. Even if the economy was in total free fall, he might as well just declare war. If the entire country hated him it would be bad. But what's worse is when half the country despises him and the other half worships him. It would be a disaster.

  2. Heh, brother, you're more optimistic than I am. It's good to see that some people at least have hope as opposed to wet blankets like me who are all for flame, death and destruction.

    A couple of things, though:

-Who do you think this candidate might be? Neither Rand Paul nor Rubio seem to be able to make the cut. If you had to make a guess, who would you put in?

-You point out that China would not attack the US given its trade dependency. However, if the US does fall into civil war, doesn't that mean they would stop buying from China and hence the Chinese would have nothing to lose in at least grabbing a couple pieces of territory for itself? Even if they don't cross the pond, they've always had their eye on Taiwan and various islands in the South China Sea. They're already moving off the US dollar, and losing US trade would give them an incentive for war to prop up their bubbly economy.

-A lot of people have no idea how to work with their hands or even possess basic survival skills in a rural setting. Do you see a massive death toll, not from war but simple starvation as the SWPL caste is forced out of their cocoon?

-What do you think are the chances such a conflict would knock out everything back to "As I Walk These Broken Roads" standards?

-Do you believe in impending global cooling, and how would even a small drop in food production affect your scenario? Spring plantings in Canada are already being delayed by 3 weeks or more because of the winter.

No idea. Rand Paul, maybe. The more I think about it the timing seems perfect for Margaret Thatcher II to make a return. A female libertarian, anti-feminist would be worshipped by men as a goddess. Just look at the pedestalization of girlwritewhat and imagine if she were running for president. Hell, I'd vote for her and I hate voting.

For Obama to take a third term means a crisis hits. Probably the economy but does anyone think the USA could withstand another 9/11? We're not that strong, too divided, and too angry.

If the bankers turn on Obama and hire some white thug to take a shot, it would start a war over night. That would be the worst case scenario. So bad I hate even writing it down.

I actually think a war with China would keep the states together. An outside threat would be impossible to ignore. China can't stand against the US at all. No one can. Maybe you're right though.

Famine will be the biggest killer in the coming crisis. That's what I'm sure of. Even if we avoid a war, the student loans, the unfunded liabilities, are too large to avoid. Inflation is coming. No way to avoid it.

I just read a statistic that 5/6 gunshot wound are survived now. If fighting starts the soldiers will be some of the safest people. Everyone else is screwed.

"Do you believe in impending global cooling, and how would even a small drop in food production affect your scenario? Spring plantings in Canada are already being delayed by 3 weeks or more because of the winter."

I have tried to make sense of climate change but I'm not smart enough. I leave that to scientists. I have no idea.

The things I'm 90% certain. Inflation. Famine. People driven out of cities. Decentralization of power. Village-state style survival turns into the future model of existence. There's no reason to group up in cities when everything is accessible with 3D printing, solar power, and the internet. I believe that the land and the king are one. That means people will be a reflection of the dominant paradigm. If people mostly live in small communities, than they'll think in small scales. Pro-sports will be replaced by the local softball teams. Local community will be more important than the Big City. The idea is one of nature returning to zero. We've gone left, now it's time to go right. We've gone big, now it's time to go small. Each action has an equal and opposite reaction. I wrote a post about making sure not to predict the future by predicting the present. The future is different than now.

    2. I dunno, Rand Paul *might* be that leader. Just look at his speech at CPAC: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cqDUwDn9rg

  3. I wonder about China. They are still a Marxist country, and Marxism works on a "zig zag." They move in one direction for a generation, then move in an abrupt fashion to the other direction. About a generation ago, we had Tianeman (sp?) Square, which was the culmination of about a generation of social and cultural engineering. Then they moved in an abrupt fashion and embraced Capitalism. Now we are getting close to a generation of Capitalism and liberty, so... it is about time for an abrupt turn in the other direction again. Plus, they've got an economic neutron bomb hanging over our heads now! Time will tell, but I don't even think we could produce enough bullets to shoot back without the Chinese making them for us. And, with 30 million extra men than women coming of age in the near future, I would think they would be thinking of some way to get rid of a few of them.

"Wishing to advance in a room full of people, I do not walk through the aisle and straight toward my goal. Nor do I move slowly through the crowd shaking hands with friends and acquaintences, discussing points of interest, gradually nearing the objective. The dialectical pathway is different. It consists of a resolute forward advance followed by an abrubt turn and retreat. Having retreated a distance there is another turn and advance. Through a series of forwardbackward steps the goal is approached. To advance thus is to advance dialectically. The Communist goal is fixed and changeless, but their direction of advance reverses itself from time to time. They approach their goal by going directly away from it a considerable portion of the time. Lenin wrote the textbook, One Step Forward, Two Steps Back. Chinese Communist schoolchildren are taught to do the dialectical march taking three steps forward and two steps back. If we judge where the Communists are going by the direction in which they are moving we will obviously be deceived" -- Dr. Fred Schwarz, President of Christian Anti-Communism Crusade

    1. That's a good way to think. Not all things are as they appear. Many people hear these predictions and think I'm nuts. I'm some war monger. But the truth is that the signs for Civil War were there in 1861 when Lincoln took office but no one wanted to listen. Lincoln mentioned nothing of war in his inaugural address and made no threats against the South but war seemed to come out of nowhere.

Instead of women being a pacifying force for society they seem to do the opposite. Women approve of war at or above the same level of men. And one of the key signs for a coming war is a societies fascination with the killer mother archetype. If war is looming, watch for a movie about a mother who goes on a killing spree, ala Kill Bill. It will need to be popular as well so it is a reflection of the people's inner world.

One thing against a coming war is that the economy is bad. Contrary to what most believe, war flows out of prosperity as often as ruin if not more so.

It's hard to see the communists in all this. Are they gone? Is it the most deceptive plot in history? I believe Lenin said that Communism may succeed by first appearing to fail completely only to reemerge stronger than before.

The problem with declaring the End of History is that if the capitalist model in the US fails, what do we turn to? The soviets could adopt the western system but what could the west turn to?

Revolutions are driven by two things. A corrupt, failing system and a superior system to replace it. Any port in the storm may lead us to communism or to the Islamification of the world. Consider how popular the Zeitgeist movies are. Also the mayan prophecy was very popular for a reason. Not that it was true but that it reflected people's angst over the current system.

If things go well I believe the internet will reshape the world. Eventually, the internet will move into meatspace. This is where I get the idea of the city-state model of running things. Different groups united by their differences but operating their own autonomous governments. The model for this is the internet where varying communities exist peacefully. The Christians can have their state, the gays can have theirs. The two would be symbiotic in that whenever the Christian state made a gay they could send him out to the gay state. The feminists could have their state as well where they sit around admiring each other's vaginas and not breeding.

I'm not one for conspiracies though, marxist or otherwise. If the Frankfurt school has had much success I believe their meme has gone viral, it's self-sufficient and doesn't need any influence. However, that ignores the fact that Christianity is a religion which believes in the equality of all men's souls. When secularized this becomes the equality of all men...and women. We get the perfect egalitarian belief system. Anyone popping into a church today will see a reflection of our current society. It is totally female dominated but with a male figurehead praising women and blaming men for all wrong doing. Much like our current culture where the male figurehead known as president is a good scapegoat for our fem-centric culture ruled by female interest but run by men.

I'm going to publish the rest of this. It's become too long.

  4. You make a good point. You may be right but when I think of Obama I think of someone who is both loved and hated. When half your country despises someone and the other half loves him, conflict can arise.

The collapse of the soviets is different though. One, there were few guns. Two, they were not as diverse and history shows that when multicultural empires crash people will organize along religious and ethnic lines and battle for power. Three, Americans are doped to eyeballs on drugs, prescription and otherwise. Four, the soviets had the western model to turn to. This is the key point. Where are we going to turn? What is there to go to? Davis's monarchy seems more appealing.

I have little doubts that they're going to try the prison state system. What I doubt is that it will work. The internet will - hopefully - prevent that. But who knows. I'd rather go out with a bang than locked into a leftists hell cell. I don't think I'm the only one.
